The Big Pedal

18th April 2016

A great start to the Big Pedal. Full bike shelters! 136 as a total across the school is fantastic.

Remember if you want to get involved, just bike or scoot to school over the next two weeks and we could be in with a chance of winning a number of different prizes for the school. Please see below for the letter sent out last week.

Parents and younger siblings who don't come to school, you can get involved too. You can also count towards our total figure so let's get peddling.
 Tuesday 19 April

WOW!

I was very impressed yesterday with the number of bicycles/scooters that came into school from both children and parents but today has more than surpassed yesterday's total. 210! Well over half the school's total roll.

We placed 136th out of 586 school which is a great effort. Let's see if we can crack the 100 by the end of the week.

Wednesday 20 April

Just to keep you updated on our current position in the leaderboard.

We are now 113th out of 745 (more schools have started inputting their data) and we're currently 5th in Cambridgeshire. A real fantastic effort - well done. 208 journeys today - brilliant

I have also just confirmed with our local PCSO that we will be organising some security marking in school on Tuesday 26 April and Wednesday 27 April from 3:15pm. This is an extra bit of security incase the bike or scooter is lost or stolen.

Thursday 21 April

WE'VE BROKE THE TOP 100!

We're currently at 95 and still doing really well. We're 4th in Cambridgeshire, and we have 3rd in our sights (they're 94).

Keep on peddling/scooting. It has been fantastic to see so many children being active and the bike shelters overflowing.
